Find an alternative way to relieve your anxiety/stress, give it a go and see how far you can take it.

Go for free days out

Going out for the day doesn't have to mean spending every last penny to make your partner/friend/family member having fun, having fun really does lie with the company you are in. So if you fancy a day out, just go for a quiet walk in the woods or along a nice river, save the money and show them you care without having to spend money to have fun.

Quit the gym, go for a run

Do you even use your gym membership as often as you may want to, no? Well quit the membership and go for a run instead, save all that money you spend in a year on a membership that you don't use.

Go Eco-Friendly around the house

As parental as this may sound, turning off unneeded lights can save you money on your electricity bills, turning off the water when you aren't using it etc etc. It really does save some extra pennies that you may not notice for a while, but after a short while you will notice the savings.

Although fruit and vegetables isn't the most expensive thing to buy, you will either go through an awful lot very quickly or you may find you don't eat it often enough and it goes off before you have a chance to consume any... If you grow enough of it, offer them to your friends/family/neighbours and earn yourself some extra pennies along the way too!

It may sound ridiculous and very cheapskate but nowadays you have to pay for the bags to bring your shopping home...
