10 reasons to travel
1. To learn
Travelling doesn't just mean to travel, you can learn so much just by visiting one country. From the different cultures to the variety of flavours or even learning a new language. Go and challenge yourself to experience something new, and without even realising it you will learn so much.
2. Have adventures
Have you ever sat there scrolling your news-feed on Instagram or sat admiring a travel blog and just thought to yourself, someday... Well there are 7 days of the week and someday isn't one of them, so pack your bags and go. Don't sit there and envy others for fulfilling your dreams, because you really can't live your dreams through someone elses adventures. Create your own adventure!
3. To be anonymous
Some people get so caught up in their own lives, that they almost get themselves lost within their day to day lives, they sit their working in their busy working day and just daydream about going somewhere where nobody knows you and just getting lost within a new place just for a while. Well don't daydream, just do it.
4. Because life is short
One very important but depressing reason to travel is because life really is too short... One minute you are playing with your barbies in your parents back garden, next you're working day to day just to pay the bills to support your own families. Time flies by, don't be the person that looks back on their childhood and realises, what did I actually do with my time? Don't be the person that hasn't fulfilled every aspect of life in the way they once dreamt.
5. To meet people
Meeting new people is one of the most exciting parts about life, meeting new friends, building new relationships, and what better way to do this than to travel while you do this...
6. To feel alive
There are many aspects of your day to day life that can be very strenuous and repetitive, sometimes you do need to push your boundaries and make yourself feel alive again to prevent becoming a robot in your own life.
7. To know yourself
Are you someone who doesn't really know what they want in life? Do you have a career goal set in your mind? No? Well take yourself out of your dead end 9-5 and go travel and work out who you are and what you want to do... Where better to do this than to sit on the edge of a mountain overlooking a beautiful picturesque lake, as opposed to at your office desk surrounded by your noisy colleagues.
8. To challenge yourself
Do you feel like you can do more with your life? Do you want to push yourself to your very limit? Well go travel, push your boundaries and try something new. Create a bucket list and tick it off as you travel.
9. To experience other cultures
One very wonderful thing about travelling is experiencing a new culture, seeing how different countries live their day to day lives differently to your own. Because everywhere really is different and it really opens your eyes to new places.
10. To not look back and wonder, what if?
We don't know about you, but our parents are very envious of our adventure filled lives. Today is a very different time to the one our parents grew up in, they had pressures to build their careers and families, but we have pressure to fulfill our dreams before we build our own family. Whatever way around you do it, before after or during your creating a family/career, just do it. Don't ever sit there one day when you're too old/ill to go anywhere and wonder, what if?
