There is no doubt that Lake Bled in Slovenia is one of the most picturesque scenes that you will come across, with it's fairytale theme. But there is more that meets the eye here, and here are just a few MUST dos here.

Row a boat

If there was one thing on our bucket list to do here, it was to row a boat on Lake Bled, it was simply wonderful, with its crystal clear green waters. It definitely lived up to our expectations, so you MUST do this!

Walks

Walking around this lake was just breathtaking, from each angle you see another side of it's beauty. You can get so up close and personal to the waters edge, with multiple resting points around it, however it is 2.12km so prepare for a long walk...

Bled Castle

Climb the steep mountainous hill to the top of Bled Castle and enjoy some spectacular views across the Lake, there is simply nothing more to say about this, the view speaks for itself!

The Church

Located in the centre of this picturesque Lake, the church is unique as it has to be accessed by boat, from the centre it gives a completely different view of the stunning surroundings. Witness the famous bell from the church in person, you won't regret the journey!

Tobogganing

Unfortunately this was not open when we visited Bled, however the views from the images are so worth the climb to the top, and what a way to get down a mountain, toboggan down!

Dinner with a view

There are multiple restaurants around the Lake, including up at the castle, so enjoy a view from the ground or a view from up high, either way the views are stunning and you can eat with this view!!
