Amsterdam is in the top ten most Eco-friendly city in the world, which really is what makes the city so beautiful, with some of the cleanest streets and parks that we have come across around our travels. We absolutely loved this city and we will definitely be returning there again one day, so here is a list of everything we feel you MUST do one your trip here.
Vondelpark

One thing in Amsterdam that you must do is go to the Vondelpark, it is absolutely stunning, you can sit and enjoy a picnic or wander around the many walkways around the park.
Anne Frank Museum

If you prefer to see the more historical side of a city then this is the museum for you, maybe not the next one down... there are quite a few steep stairs within this house, so be careful if you struggle with a climb but it really is an eye opening experience.
Sex Museum

Can you really go to Amsterdam and not go to a museum like this? We don't think so, it's a very weird but wonderful museum and it's great fun, maybe not family friendly however!
river amstel

Whether you want to sit and admire the boats flowing down the river in front of you, or whether you want to go on a boat tour yourself, either is simply stunning. The river flows for 31km so the best way to see the entire thing would be a grand boat tour.
Dam Square

Wander through the Dam Square to witness the amazing atmosphere, music playing, street performers in their prime, it's a great place that you must witness upon your visit.
Madame Tussauds

Yes, Madame Tussauds are just wax works, but in every museum they have different celebrities, so why miss out on getting to see even more of your favourite actors/actresses/sportsmen/women?
Amsterdam Sign

Everyone loves a standard tourist photo really, even if you don't admit it, so stand in front of the sign and get your photo, because why not?
