Fancy being accommodated for free?
Coach surfing is becoming more and more popular as the years go by, but what are the perks and negatives to this method of travelling?
There are many different ways of becoming a couch surfer, but I would say the safest way is to sign yourself up with an account on a members only website where you share things in common with the other travellers involved.
Positives:
Meet other fellow travellers in the same situation as you
Meet the locals and find out the best places to go
Find out from the locals where NOT to go
Free accommodation
Join coach surfing events to meet even more people
Negatives:
You have to watch out for unverified hosts - check their reviews
Some hosts have curfews
Other hosts may even have rules in place - read beforehand to make sure you're happy with these
Always have a back up place to stay in mind, just in case, safety should always come first
Always remember when travelling anywhere, to keep yourself and your fellow travellers safe. Never take any risks.
