We have been having the time of our life here, relaxing by the pool at our home, sunbathing on the beach and finally getting to eat our full English breakfast! Being away from home for over 3 months now has been a challenge, when it comes to the food department, because we have missed all the small things from England, even down to a packet of salt & vinegar crisps... but we have finally settled most of our cravings here!

Today, we have gone on a boat trip, docking at a few different bays, allowing us to jump in and have a swim to cool off from the scorching Turkish sun. The Aegean Sea is so beautiful and warm, it's really salty so you can lay back in the water and float without any effort.

We left early morning for the boat, departing at the seafront in Altinkums bay, as we began sailing out into deeper waters, we could feel the warm air against our skin as we sunbathed on the top deck. The drinks were flowing and we were already having the best day by the time we docked in our first bay. People began jumping in from the lower decks but only 2 boys were going to brave the dive off the top, one being Charlie. As you can see in the image below, the boat was very high above the water so it was a huge height to jump off, but they did it!

Although I don't like swimming in the sea, in this Turkish sea I have no issue with it, the water is so clear and the saltiness allowing you to float with such ease is so nice to be able to have a dip to cool off.

We had a lovely lunch on board which is included with our £10 ticket each to go on this boat trip, consisting off chicken, salad and pasta with bread! Bargain!

After lunch one of the crew members on board the ship, climbed all the way to the top of the ropes and dived into the sea!

If you ever wish to come to Turkey, don't let the news put you off, there truly are some wonderful places that are family friendly and safe for your holidays! We spent the entire day on board this boat trip with many Turkish crew members and they're all so welcoming and lovely.

Towards the end of our day there was a foam party on board the ship, it was so nice to cool off in the foam after being in the warm sea breeze all day long.

If you come to Altinkum, you MUST do one of the many boat trips here!!
