We have come across so many beautiful places across our trip around Europe, and we want to share our 3 best most unearthly places that we stumbled upon with you all!
1. Krka National Park, Lozovac, Croatia

Krka national park in Croatia, was the reason we went to the country at all, we made a stop along the way in Zagreb before heading to Sibenik where we stayed nearby to visit this beautiful attraction. Unfortunately more people appear interested in it's sister national park, Plitvice, however most people aren't aware that in Plitvice you aren't actually allowed to swim in the waters, whereas here you can. The national park is located in Southern Croatia, and has a series of seven waterfalls across it's park, linked up by multiple walkways.
If like us, you are an admirer of getting lost within a maze, this is a place for you. Get off the beaten track and wander off the pre-made walkways, you will find even more hidden gems around! Sit and enjoy an ice cream while admiring a beautiful view of greenery combined with the sound of the waterfalls behind you. You may even be lucky enough to come across any of the National park's wildlife, from snakes to otters.
The park is situated along the 73km River Krka, the National Park is a truly magical place, full of all the waterfalls and gorges.
Embark upon this journey here, and you will not regret it!
2. Lake bled, Bled, Slovenia

Lake Bled, is THE most beautiful Lake we have ever been to. With everything you could ask for surrounding it, restaurants, a castle on a hill with the most magnificent view point over the lake, rowing boats for hire and so much more. You could sit for hours alongside this lake and not get bored, it's beauty is so intriguing, we envy the people that have houses with a view of this place.
If you fancy a long walk, the walk around the lake itself is huge, 6km! It's a lovely, peaceful walk and if you fancy a climb, climb up to the castle on the hill and enjoy the stunning view from above.
Bled is every bit as stunning in reality, with it's emerald-green lake, the church on the island, a medieval castle on the rocky cliffs and some of the highest peaks of the Julian Alps as a backdrop. Bled is Slovenia's most popular resort, with anyone from honeymooners hoping to settle into a romantic break to backpackers, who come for the skydiving, hiking, biking, water sports, canyoning and much much more that this small town has to offer.
Visit the lake, take in the mesmerizing settings at both dusk and dawn, you won't be disappointed.
Eisriesenwelt, Werfen, Austria

Eisriesenwelt is a natural limestone and ice cave and it's the largest ice cave in the world, situated on the top of a mountain in the lovely town of Werfen in Austria. Climb 700 steps into the cave, and a further 700 steps out. This cave is so fascinating from start to finish, with the blast of wind that hits you upon entrance to the glistening ice formations all around the inside.
Each year, the cave has movements, so each year the cave changes and the tours that take place have to adjust ever so slightly for safety reasons. The cave itself was founded by travellers many years ago, and they are the reason we can enter this beautiful place today, they created each of the walkways by hand themselves when they entered the cave back in 1897!
The climb up to the mountain is enough to make you want to come here, with the views from the top, shown in the above image. You will reach the top of the mountain in a fluster and you will be begging to go inside just to cool yourself down. The walk up has some exceptional views, from the coach ride to the halfway point, to the cable cart up the side of the mountain and the final part the walk along the cliffs edge to the very top.
Around the cave you will walk along wooden panels, old slippery stairways all while surrounded from all angles, ice. From the stalagmites to the stalactites, you are never anymore than reaching distance from ice.
Come and see for yourself, grab yourself an gas lantern and enter the mysterious beauty within.
