Not a Hostel fan? Me neither
There are so many ways to accommodate yourself across the globe these days, but my absolute favourite is Airbnb. Airbnb is a worldwide website, with a variety of different homes available to you, from campsites to mansions, literally. This website allows you to connect with the locals of the area you are visiting, it's a great way to travel around in my opinion, what better way to visit a country than to share a home with a local.
You don't have to share a home, there are options to share a place with other travellers, rent a private room or have an entire place to yourself. We have tried all different types of travel with Airbnb and none of them have disappointed. We do usually prefer to rent an entire home, because as a couple we prefer our own space, but the times we have shared with other couples, we have made some wonderful friends worldwide.
Simply go to their website, https://www.airbnb.co.uk/ and sign yourself up today. You need to enter a few personal details but remember, when doing this, it's so that other people can welcome you into their homes without any doubt. You wouldn't want to go to someones home you knew next to nothing about would you,? So I am sure you wouldn't expect someone to let you into their homes if you don't provide a few personal details.
Just a few tipes when booking through Airbnb:
Tip 1- Reduce the price filter to suit your budget Tip 2 - Always look at the map to show the location of the home to ensure this suits you
Tip 3- Google the address yourself to avoid any surprises Tip 4 - Check reviews for the host you're staying with Tip 5 - Check reviews of the area your home will be in Tip 6 - Sometimes picking one out of direct centre is better, you get to see the untouched parts of the country
Go ahead and search your next holiday home today, even if not abroad, book yourself a weekend getaway. Go have fun!
