Day 90, Altinkum, Turkey

We have arrived in our last destination of our amazing 3 month long trip and we are so excited to be spending an entire month here!! Our journey from Rome to Altinkum was a trek and a half to say the least... We had a connection in our flight in Istanbul, our flights were all on time and everything was going smoothly. We were sat staring out the window, shocked at how heavy the baggage men were throwing peoples cases, then we saw my rucksack... They held it back, and were all chatting around it, until one man took it off the plane and threw it into a cart that began to drive away! We quickly made ourselves noticed and luckily we caught my bag just in time before it headed off to another plane! They apparently thought it was meant to go on another flight, how could they get this so wrong!!! As you can imagine, we weren't the happiest with their services at this minute. When do you ever sit and watch the bags get thrown onto the plane anyway, thank god I did this time though!
Once we arrived in Altinkum, we got off the plane to find a man stood holding a sign with our names on, we were confused because our transfer was meant to be outside the airport not as we are getting off the plane... We were taken in a private car to the other side of the airport, missing passport and visa control, at this point we began to think maybe we were in trouble! The man escorted us to the baggage reclaim where our bags came out first, with no further explanation, he walked off, leaving us baffled as to what just happened.
Our journey to Charlie's dads house was so lovely, the driver stopped on the way, so we could watch the sunset across the lake, it was beautiful. The last part of the journey definitely made up for earlier today! We finally got to the house and we could not wait to get back and relax, here's to a month here!
