Today, we were up and out very early to finish off the second half of our Colosseum tickets, the entrance to the forum. The train systems were so clear here that it took us no time at all to get down here this morning and luckily the weather wasn't at it's hottest so the walk wasn't quite as unbearable.

We arrived at the ruins and we couldn't believe ours eyes, it was absolutely huge, so if you plan on doing both parts of the ticket, don't come late in the day and cram them both into one day, split them between two like we have done so you can get the most out of both places.

We began wandering around, in between all the pillars and old stone, it is so surprising how some of the pillars are even still standing!

There are different view points as well, it is just one great big maze that really takes you down memory lanes of what used to go on here, there is no greater monument in a place than it's ruins, in our opinion anyway! You can almost feel the history, just walking around every pillar and half fallen down buildings.

You could get lost here for hours on end if you really wanted to and if the weather wasn't beginning to get 10 times hotter by the minute. These particular ruins, were called the Roman Forum, belonging to important ancient government, situated in the very the center of the city of Rome, right next to the Colosseum.

This place is definitely worth the 12 euros you pay, we still cannot believe you get entrance to here plus the Colosseum for that little price... you will not be disappointed.
