It's our last day in Florence and we are really sad to leave, thankfully we aren't finished in Italy just yet, because this weather is just simply incredible, the cobbled streets, the people, just everything. Florence was a grand place with beautiful streets, squares and arches that you can't help but find as they are at every corner you turn. Piazza della Repubblica is pictured above, a very busy square with a great atmosphere. Admire the artwork on the square or ride the carousel.

Our hosts at the Airbnb in Florence were great people and exceptionally helpful. They had already given us a detailed map of the city and marked on all the main attractions to see and also great places to eat and drink. For a unique look at the world famous Duomo here in Florence, our hosts had given us directions to the city library located a few streets away. Situated inside the library there was a cafe located on the top floor of the building which provided a breathtaking view of the building. Photos honestly do this no justice, it's one of those places you have to see for yourself.

Piazza della Signoria was stunning, right in the heart of the city and full of wold famous statues by Donatello and Michelangelo in every direction you look. This area of the the city is the cultural heartbeat and a part that you must dedicate some time to seeing if you ever make it to this area in Tuscany. We sat here for a while watching the flocks of other people who had travelled from all corners of the globe to be here. We've been reflecting on our time so far and have been amazed at how far we've come in the last few months. All the places we've been to have been unique in their own way, but Florence has to be one of the most breathtaking cities we've visited.

I thought I'd include this picture of the mug with my name on because in the UK, I can't find a single thing with my name on. It was a must buy for me and something that would remind me of this wonderful place every single time I used it. We really do not want to leave here, yet so much more sun awaits us in Rome!
