We woke up and decided to head straight into the town centre to have a look around the shops, ranging from Louis Vuitton to H&M. As everyone knows, Italy is the home of many designer brands and the streets in Florence definitely weren't short of massive stores for all the tourists to explore. You feel like absolute royalty when entering the world famous designer outlets as the staff open the doors for you on your arrival and departure and the customer service is at a level that is unparalleled anywhere else on the planet. Like many of the other beautiful destinations we've visited in Europe, Florence was another that you could walk in any direction and be left speechless by the outstanding architecture, culture and wonderfully placed mix of the old and the new.

We were on another exploring spree for the day, for the most part we tried to keep out of the sun. Florence was a sun trap, without a doubt the hottest destination we had visited on our trip so far. The city has it all, it truly is a masterpiece - the pastel coloured buildings that line the river look stunning in the sunshine so we decided to find a place where we could sit and watch the world go by for a while. One of the bridges that crossed this legendary stretch of the Arno offered a platform you could sit on after hoping over the wall of the main bridge. This wasn't for the faint-hearted, a slip could've resulted in either of us having a very unexpected swim. If you visit this region, we definitely advise grabbing yourself a drink and sitting here for a short while.

As you will know, a boys hair, if not cut regularly can easily go out of hand... unfortunately Charlie's hair could not last any longer and he needed to get it cut. We had seen a few barbers around so we decided to go and see who spoke the best English so we could portray the style to cut it in. An older gentleman was stood outside the one shop, and we asked if he spoke English, he said yes, so we thought great! Charlie sat in the chair and we began to explain the kind of style we wanted doing, but we soon realised the man spoke very little English. I decided to get a design out of a magazine, the man nodded as if he knew exactly what we wanted. When he began I gasped from the very first razor cut through the back of his head, as I saw his scalp... The man said it was fine and proceeded, I was worried...
The end result is as what you can see below, with a rather dodgy blending job done, but I do believe it could have been a lot worse. My advice to anyone planning on cutting their hair abroad would be to get a translation of the exact style you require beforehand.

We went back down to the old town bridge, but this time we walked across it and stopped to watch the sun set, the view was just incredible, the perfect backdrop to the bridge. As we stood watching the sun setting, their was music playing behind us, people dancing and singing along, it was an amazing atmosphere. The perfect end to yet another lovely day here.
