We arrived in our next destination, Zurich, Switzerland, it was fairly late in the day and our internet connection was awful. We headed straight to our apartment before going to the town to explore the area. The town was fairly small, but it was a really lovely area, with the river flowing down the middle, old buildings and designer shops.
The heavens opened, some of the heaviest rain we have ever experienced... it was horrendous. So rather than site seeing, we decided to avoid the rain and go shopping. We couldn't come to Switzerland and not have some chocolate, we saw a little Chocolate shop and headed straight for it. It was covered from top to bottom with different style shapes of chocolate, we were in our element.
After we had devoured in some chocolate, we headed to do some window shopping in the designer shops, ranging from Rolex to Louis Vuitton. If only we had thousands of pounds to splash out on expensive items here. We did feel slightly out of place, shopping in our Nike trainers and jeans, while doormen are in Tuxedos and top hats as they open the doors for us...
The weather was just getting worse and worse as the evening came on so we headed back to our room for the night, praying for better weather!
