Travel through Interrail or Eurail
Our personal method of travel around Europe was through the company Interrail, it allows you to move freely and easily across the continent, with many trains to several different destinations. We found this such a great way to get around and you even get the chance to meet fellow travellers who are also travelling via train! If you are a solo traveller or a group, this pass is for you! See the list of all the many types of passes you can purchase below. Whether you are travelling just one country or whether you want to travel to several, there will be a pass to suit you!
Our journey around Europe with Interrail has been amazing, something we definitely recommend to everyone! It enables you to travel freely to all the top favourite attractions across Europe. Travel to up to 30 different countries all via train! Embark upon a journey of a lifetime, seeing sights ranging from the snow capped peaks to the cobbled streets. Enjoy a scenic journey as you witness the glorious sights up close as you glide through them directly, travel through the alluring Alps, alongside picturesque lakes and much much more. Imagine a journey where you don't have to sit waiting around to get through passport control, check in desks, and a queue for the runway, you just hop on and hop off, everything is dealt with on the train journey itself. All you need is your ticket and you're away!
After all, what view would you prefer to see, the clouds in the sky or the ability to catch a glimpse of parts of countries that you can only capture via train. Between destinations you will find yourself catching an eyeful of other places that will only continue to add to your wanderlust!
These rail companies allow you to travel Europe freely, depending on where you are in the world, will depend on which pass you get, if you are a member of the European Union, you must purchase an Interrail pass, any country out of Europe, you must purchase the Eurail pass. Simple as that.

A few tips when booking with Interrail or Eurail:
Purchase when offers are on for even cheaper tickets - sign up to receive discount offers via email.
Fill out your pass along your journey in the planner provided - you can have your pass taken off you and result in paying a fine if not.
Research your routes yourself, to avoid scams through travel agencies.
Book seat reservations in advance: book online through Interrail direct, give them a call or book through the train station (when booking at the station direct, ensure you are VERY specific about the ticket you wish to purchase, i.e 2 female seat tickets together or 1 male 1 female cabin reservations etc to avoid any language barrier issues).
