It's very sad but it's our last day in Werfenweng, before we head off to Salzburg for the next two days, so after nearly a week here we really needed a more relaxing day after all the hiking we have done through the mountains.

We decided we wanted to try some authentic Austrian food in the local restaurants, such as a Schnitzel, traditionally battered down Pork coated in breadcrumbs. It was such a lovely end to our wonderful trip here and we will definitely be coming back some day soon, in the winter maybe and try out the skiing!

There are so many things we could've done this week if we came in another season, like more hiking, skiing and cycling, to explore the beautiful alpine landscape. There are day trips in abundance, with all major towns and attractions accessible via a brilliant rail service in Austria. We went via a beautiful looking castle, Hohenwerfen Castle, when we travelled to the ice caves but we didn't have time to go inside, but it's meant to be a wonderful historic place.
