Waking up here is a joy every single day, we are in by far the most remote location that we would be in over the entire course of the trip, which is heavenly after all the cities we've been in. Our accommodation is perfect, a beautiful Austrian house and beautiful hosts that have provided us with more than enough since we've been here. As they're also from the UK they understand that sometimes nothing else will cure your hunger than a massive English breakfast. They gave us everything we need to cook a monster of a breakfast which we enjoyed earlier this morning.

The scenery in Austria is simply breathtaking, being the time of year that it is there's not much snow on the mountains apart from the very peaks, however the forever stretching hills were glowing in the sunlight. When the sun's out the temperatures reach up to 30 degrees, so a very nice heat. In every direction you could walk and find breathtaking views, so today was dedicated to hiking and getting lost. A wooden sign stuck out of the ground with different walks indicated in different directions, we picked one at random and set off. The path winded up and down the hillsides with areas with clear views out over the mountains or thick wooded areas where the path was hard to follow. Where the ice on the snowy mountains had melted small streams were running down through the woodland and on more than one occasion we came face to face with a stream running over the path, there was no turning back so we went straight through. All around the watery areas we were greeted by dozens of small frogs!

This went on for around 5k, the scenery was phenomenal. As our accommodation was based quite high up the majority of our walk was downhill, at no point had we considered that we would have to be walking the entire distance back up the mountain. Eventually when we came to end of the path there was a small car garage and a supermarket with the bus stop by. We walked over praying that the bus would be coming at some point soon, however this was not the case. No buses for the rest of the day... A quick drink from the shop was essential, then we set off on our climb back to the room, we were going to sleep well tonight.
